I am impressed at how much the menu has grown in the last few years. Back when I was in college, I only knew it as a pizza place. In fact, Northern Michigan University voted them the number one best pizza in the area. They now have a wide range of food such as wings and hummus, baked mac and cheese, burgers and sandwiches, salads, and pasta on top of the wide variety of pizzas. The first Aubree’s was started in in Ypsilanti, Michigan, and now has 8 restaurants among the Lower and Upper Peninsula. The UP is very lucky that the owners decided to branch out up here, because the food is fantastic! For an appetizer, my family chose the Coconut Grove Chicken Sticks that came with a side of sweet chili sauce and a mango chutney. The chicken was slightly on the dry side, but when dipped in the mango chutney they were perfect! The coconut and mango together were a very good match. None of us cared for the sweet chili sauce.

I left Portland bright and early with just ONE dashboard warning light illuminated in the Blueberry — ayyyye and arrived in Ogunquit in time for a leisurely pre-breakfast walk along the paved Marginal Way cliffside path. It’s a little over a mile from the start to the end in Perkin’s Cove, where I grabbed an iced coffee for the walk back. In Kennebunkport, just a half hour away, I had the most satisfying breakfast sandwich ever at H.
But I won’t hold that against the place. After wandering a bit more in Kennebunkport, I drove north to Cape Elizabeth to take in the famous Portland Head lighthouse It was a little foggy that day. The fog continued as I wove my way around the jagged coast, taking a detour to the tiny fishing village of Georgetown to visit an obscure yet highly praised lobster shack I’d read about.

Martin Sports expands to offer equipment as well as apparel Thursday, May 11, Something strange is afoot at Martin Sports Apparel. The Ishpeming-based company, owned and operated by Scott Martin, has recently dropped the “apparel” part from their name. And inside the store, sports equipment is beginning to make an appearance. The reason is simple, says Martin. There’s an opening in the market for sports equipment right now with the closure of some big box stores in Marquette County.
Martin Sports is stepping into that opening, starting with softball equipment, balls, bats, gloves, and expanding from there. We’re here to make sure they can get what they need and making it clear you don’t have to shop at a big box store to get the equipment you want. Martins Sports still has you covered. The apparel aspect of the store is still operating and as strong as ever. If you do, then you probably also remember just how damn good those tacos were, not to mention the mouth-watering smell wafting from the whole pigs they smoked and served to the masses.
Thankfully, that incredible event is proving to not have been a one-and-done kind of a deal. Mike Walker, the chief taco maker, owner, operator, and janitor at Dia de los Tacos, has announced that he and his team will be once again combining their super powers with Slow’s to the culinary delight of Marquette’s foodies. Come August 12 at Blackrocks, the fusion will happen again.

It was unclear as to why she spent the better part of two days loading. She stayed there until noon Saturday, and then backed away out into Lake St. Louis and proceeded northeast slowly into the Pointe Forte anchorage. While she was on the wall, upbound ships had to go around her and take the lock on the fly.
Houghton and Munising are also great towns. attendance/enthusiasm has been an issue forever. When I was in college (and I’m dating myself here I know) the students were all in the upper bowl. July 18, 3: I have a large wooden bowl marked “Munising. Munising bowls hail from their namesake town, nestled on the South Bay of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Workers at Munising Woodenware Company, in business from to , machine-lathed each vessel out of hardwood, usually maple, from the forests nearby. The factory produced other household items, such as butter molds, spoons and breadboards.
The goods were sold at department stores, where many found their way onto wedding registries. Of the many items the company made, the bowls were among the few types of pieces branded with its name. Today, Munising bowls surface in antiques stores and at online auctions. The salad bowls, 10 inches or more in diameter, are usually unadorned or painted a solid color on their exterior; some are footed.
